Abstract

The main goal of this article is to present the costs of integrated plant protection method taking into consideration two types of integration. The first one deals with joint use of is about the chemical plant protection with biological control methods against the pest in tomato and cucumber greenhouse grown crops. The second type of integration relies on combining chemical protection and mechanical weed regulation. The differential calculation of weed reduction in the case of different variants were very varied. The greatest difference was shown between chemical and mechanical method in sugar beet, and it was stated by 50.1 dt. The integrated method of weed reduction enables the reduction in farmer’s effort, and is much cheaper than chemical method and environmentally friendly. High prices of herbicides used in sugar beet crops are very disturbing issue. It is because a limiting factor to affect the production profitability put into question when only the herbicide protection is used. Introduction of integrated method in greenhouse grown tomato and cucumber enables the reduction of insecticide use in these crops production from 5.6 to 14.5 kg active substance, and decrease the number of chemical treatments by 10. The total cost of tomatoes’ plant protection including the integrated method was lower by 17% in comparison to only use of chemical method. The costs of two methods of plant protection in cucumbers’ cultivation were similar. The profitability of integrated plant protection method in tomatoes’ and cucumbers’ cultivation were 100% higher than in case of chemical method.

Określono koszt integrowanej ochrony roślin dla dwóch sposobów integracji: pierwszy dotyczy integrowania chemicznej ochrony roślin z metodą biologiczną zwalczania szkodników w uprawie pomidora i ogórka, drugi to ochrona chemiczna i mechaniczna redukowania stanu zachwaszczenia. Kalkulacje różnicowe redukowania stanu zachwaszczenia różnych wariantów ochrony buraka cukrowego były bardzo zróżnicowane. Największe różnice wystąpiły pomiędzy metodą chemiczną i mechaniczną i wynosiły 50,1 dt/ha.
