Streszczenie

Mycological analysis was conducted on 23 sweet pepper plants, collected from two farms with pepper crops growing under plastic tunnels. All analysed plants showed yellowing and wilting of leaves and necrosis of at least 50% of roots. Pythium myriotylum was isolated mainly from affected roots as well as from substratum. Additionally, other pathogen species, including Botrytis cinerea, Fusarium avenaceum and F. solani were isolated rarely or sporadically. Inoculation of root and stem parts as well as leaf petioles and leaf blades by P. myriotylum resulted in their fast colonization. The species colonized also cucumber and tomato plant parts. In greenhouse-test with plants growing in peat substrate inoculated by P. myriotylum most of them died within 5-week-growth.

Przeprowadzono analizę mikologiczną 23 roślin papryki z objawami przejaśnienia liści i ich więdnięcia pobranych z dwóch gospodarstw z uprawą roślin w tunelach foliowych.
