In June 2010, the presence of 40 cysts of nematodes from the Globodera genus was revealed in a soil sample collected from the field in the area of Opolskie Voivodeship in Poland. The results of the morphological and morphometric analyses revealed the presence of 30 cysts with features characteristic for the species Globodera rostochiensis (Wollenweber, 1923) Skarbilovich, 1959, and 10 cysts with features characteristic for the species G. pallida (Stone, 1973) Behrens, 1975. The results of molecular tests (PCR – Polymerase Chain Reaction and PCR-RFLP – Polymerase Chain Reaction-Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphism) confirmed the presence of both nematode species in the sample. Sequence of rDNA fragment (ribosomal deoxyribonucleic acid) obtained in the PCR amplification and comparative analysis of the sequence revealed approximately 97% identity with a sequence characteristic for G. pallida deposited in the NCBI database (National Center for Biotechnology Information), which confirmed the presence of this species in the sample. 

W czerwcu 2010 r., w próbce gleby pobranej z pola na terenie województwa opolskiego stwierdzono obecność 40 cyst mątwików z rodzaju Globodera. Wyniki analiz morfologicznych i morfometrycznych wskazały na obecność 30 cyst o cechach gatunku Globodera rostochiensis (Wollenweber, 1923) Skarbilovich, 1959 i 10 cyst o cechach gatunku G. pallida (Stone, 1973) Behrens, 1975. Wynik przeprowadzonych testów molekularnych (PCR – Polymerase Chain Reaction i PCR-RFLP – Polymerase Chain Reaction-Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphism) potwierdził obecność w tej próbce obu gatunków nicieni. Sekwencja fragmentu rDNA (rybosomalnego kwasu deoksyrybonukleinowego) uzyskanego podczas amplifikacji PCR oraz analiza porównawcza tej sekwencji wykazała około 97% identyczności z sekwencją charakterystyczną dla G. pallida zdeponowaną w bazie danych NCBI (Narodowe Centrum Informacji Biotechnologicznej), co potwierdziło obecność tego gatunku nicienia w badanej próbce.
