Oceniono wzrost, zarodnikowanie i patogeniczność szczepów w warunkach kontrolowanych.

The active substances of microbial biopesticides are obtained from the environment. The first step in the development of a new biopesticide is the selection of isolated strains in terms of laboratory screening and effectiveness in pest control. The aim of the conducted research was to initially determine the potential of local strains of entomopathogenic fungi: Isaria fumosorosea and Beauveria bassiana as biopesticides for the control of grain aphids (Sitobion avenae F.) and greenhouse whiteflies (Trialeurodes vaporariorum Westwood). The sporulation, growth and pathogenicity of the strains were assessed under controlled conditions. The best properties were demonstrated for the Pfr 311 A I. fumosorosea strain. This strain showed the best sporulation compare to all tested strains at the temperaturę of 20°C, with the most intensive growth at the temperature of 25°C. Strain Pfr 311 A was also most effective in controlling grain aphids and larvae L3-L4 greenhouse whiteflies under controlled conditions. The selected strain should be tested for the development of a new biopesticide.
